As a lawyer turned legal-event consultant, I’ve worked with speakers and planners across the legal field to create audience-centered events with real impact. Now, I teach event and marketing teams everything they need to do the same.
“Val brought a perspective to The Legal Summit that is rarely heard, but critically important: the client’s. Her ability to translate direct insight from in-house counsel into practical, relevant guidance for legal events and business development made her session exceptionally valuable. I would recommend her without hesitation to any organization looking to challenge conventional thinking and bring a more client-centered lens to its events and engagement strategy.”
Ryan Hayes | Associate Director of Strategic Client Events, Winston Taylor LLP | Head of Content for The Legal Summit

“You’re the host, but it’s not about you. Fill that room with clients, introduce them to each other, and make space for them to connect and learn together.”

No. If you want to fill a room with contacts and have them walk out feeling engaged and more closely connected to your firm, this workshop works. That said, it focuses primarily on content-driven events like summits, trainings, and substantive roundtables — common formats that are famously dry and predictable but that also present huge potential for building trust and market leadership when designed the right way.
You’re not a meeting planner or an order taker. You’re a strategist.
This workshop gives you the tools to show up that way.
I spent the first 15+ years of my career as a regulatory attorney and advisor in government, in BigLaw, and in-house. That means I understand exactly how lawyers think, what they prioritize, and how to bring out their best as communicators, experts, and collaborators.
That experience is what drives my work now. Whether I’m helping a law firm refresh a long-running client summit, facilitating my Content to Conversation workshop, or preparing attorneys to speak with confidence at their next conference session, I bring the same rare perspective: a genuine understanding of both sides of the table.
I’m an American lawyer and NY bar member, living in Copenhagen and working with clients around the world.
